Kenya 7s handed 2nd Olympics Rugby loss by Australia

Kenya 7s have suffered back-to-back losses after going down to Australia 21-7 in the second match at Stade De France on Wednesday.

Shujaa went to the match seeking redemption after losing to Argentina 31-12 in the opening match while Australia had beaten Samoa in the opener.

Kenya 7s concede

Australia struck immediately after kick off with James Turner beating the defence for a try that was converted for a 7-0 after conversion.

Kenya 7s responded almost immediately with Tony Omondi’s quick tap off a penalty allowing him to land a centre post try.

Nathan Lawson joined the scoresheet with a try in the sixth minute and Dietrich Roache converted for halftime lead.

Australia are now assured a place in the quarters while Kenya will play their final match against Samoa to determine if they can qualify as the best losers.
