Uganda Cranes 15s squad to play Zimbabwe Rugby Africa Cup quarters

Orleans Rugby Club’s new signing, Philip Wokorach, has been included in the Uganda Cranes 15s squad to face Zimbabwe Sables in the Rugby Africa Cup quarterfinals at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole, this Saturday.

Wokorach, who was not part of the 15s squad that won the Victoria Cup 2023, has been named as a full-back.

Wingers Shakim Ssembusi and Timothy Kisiga will join him on the flanks.

The midfield will feature a partnership between Jones Kamiza and Thomas Gwokto as inside and outside centres, respectively.

Conrad Wanyama at scrum-half and Ivan Magomu at fly-half complete the list of starting backs for the match.

In the back row, Moses Zziwa, Byron Oketayot, and Sidney Gongodyo will form a dynamic trio. Charles Uhuru and Eliphaz Emong will anchor the second row, while Santos Ssenteza, Faragi Odugo, and Kabras prop Asuman Mugerwa will make up the front row.

Uganda will be keen to upset Zimbabwe and reach the last four of the tournament.
