Otieno Oyoo will feature in the Nyanza Region Rugby 7s games after ending their eight-year wait by reaching the Kisumu County 7s games final at Maso School.
The school, now benefiting from the expertise of former Administration Police coach Oscar Okaron, will face defending champions Maseno School in the final on Saturday and will participate in the Nyanza region games regardless of the final outcome.

Otieno Oyoo upset Nyabondo High School, a regular contender alongside Maseno School in the Nyanza region games.
In the semifinal match that secured their return, Otieno Oyoo defeated Nyabondo 17-5. Meanwhile, Maseno, under the tutelage of Coach Sebastian Makalek, achieved a comfortable 49-0 win over Kisumu Day.

Otieno Oyoo’s campaign began with a 7-7 draw against Kisumu Day in the group stage but they rose to beat Nyamasaria 26-0 in the final pool match.
In the Cup quarters, a 10-5 win over Onjiko was enough to send them to the semis.
On the girls’ side, Nyakach Girls and Ojola, who started rugby in February, are set to battle for supremacy.
