Rams from Uganda won the Genocide Memorial Tournament 7s, securing the trophy with a decisive 24-7 victory over last season’s champions, Lion De Fer, in the finals at at Camp Kigali school.
The victory was marked by outstanding performances, with Opilleni Hossana and Ryan Juuko each scoring two tries. The win was solidified by conversions from Obbo Edrine and Hashim Kabogooza.
To reach the final, Lions de Fer knocked out Kigali Sharks 24-07 while Rams defeated Resilience 17-00.

In the women’s final, the Panthers emerged victorious after their match against the Falcons ended in a 5-5 draw. The winner was determined by a coin toss, favouring the Panthers.
In the men’s competition for third place, Resilience defeated Kigali Sharks with a score of 19-0. For the women’s third place, Burera Tigers clinched the position by beating Kigezi Queens with a score of 5-0.
