Butere Boys High School emerged victorious in the sub county games held on Sunday at their home ground.
Competing in a round robin format, Butere Boys faced off against Lunza High School, Shiatsala, and Mabole, securing wins in all their matches.

With a clean sweep, Butere Boys are now setting their sights on the upcoming county competitions to be held later this month at St. Peter’s Mumias in Mumias.
“We’ve identified our weaknesses and are working on them as we prepare for the county games. We’ve also noted areas of strength that we hope to capitalize on to compete favorably,” Joshua Anyangu, the school’s rugby coach said.

In other matches, Mabole defeated Lunza 7-0 in a closely contested game before overcoming Shiatsala 12-00. Shiatsala managed a 12-00 victory against Lunza.
With their dominant performance, Butere Boys are optimistic about their chances in the county games, hoping to build on their strengths and address any weaknesses.
