Former Nakuru RFC forward Monate Akuei has been handed a start for Major League Rugby side Seattle Seawolves as they face Old Glory rugby at Starfire Sports on Saturday.
His chance with the Seattle Seawolves comes just days after he featured for Austin Black Rugby in Texas.
Akuei, who represented Kenya 7s and Simbas in 2019, will partner with former Worcester flanker Huw Taylor and American forward Pago Haini.

The second row will see Rhyno Herbst and Moni Ngakuru starting, while Cameron Orr, Daquan Perry, and Olive Kilifi form the front row.
JP Smith is set to play as the scrum-half, with Mack Mason as the fly-half.

Fijian-born Australian Tevita Kuridrani will partner with former Stormers center Dan Kriel.
Namibia’s Divan Rossouw will be in the back row alongside Tony Pulu and Ina Futi.
In 2023, Akuei first played in Major Rugby League for the Champions Rugby New York.
