Cheetahs, Rhinos, and Lions have asserted their dominance in the Rugby Super Series Impact Team of the Week, with six, six, and three players respectively making the cut.

The front row positions feature the formidable Cheetahs duo, with Francis Atiti securing the outside prop spot and Emmanuel Mboya commanding the hooker role.

Atiti’s impressive performance included four carries, three tackles, and a crucial turnover against the Rhinos, while Mboya had eight tackles, five carries, and a try.

Meshack Tunnech from the Rhinos earns recognition as the inside prop, delivering a stellar performance with eight carries and five tackles in their hard-fought 27-23 victory over the Cheetahs.

In the lock positions, Rhino’s Ryan Odua and Cheetahs’ Barry Opondo stand out. Odua earns praise as the six, making his mark with eight carries, seven tackles, and a valuable try, while Opondo’s contributions include nine carries, six tackles, and a notable line break.

The back row positions boast Cheetahs’ Amos Obae and Lion’s Obat Luke as the favored flankers. Obae’s outstanding display features 12 tackles, nine tackles, and a try, while Luke impresses with eight carries, five tackles, and a crucial turnover.

Sheldon Kahi secures the eighth man position as the favorite, showcasing his prowess with 13 carries and eight tackles.

In the halfbacks positions, Patrick Wainaina shines as the favorite scrum half, displaying his skillset with four carries, four tackles, and a line break. 

Levi Amunga is the flyhalf, delivering a stellar performance with five penalty goals and a notable line break.

Rhino’s Charles Odhiambo earns recognition as the favorite center, following his defensive prowess with ten tackles, three carries, and a crucial turnover. 

He is joined by Cheetahs’ Denis Abukuse, who showcases his attacking flair with nine carries, three tackles, and a notable line break.

The back three positions see Alvin Khavoli as the favored blind winger, exhibiting his defensive prowess with a streak of seven tackles, three carries, and a line break. 

Lion’s Derrick Wechuli claims the favorite right open side winger position, contributing three tackles and a crucial try against the Buffaloes.

Finally, Rhino’s Victor Odhiambo is hailed as the favorite for the fullback position, showcasing his attacking prowess with four carries, two line breaks, and a brace.
