KCB Rugby’s versatile back, William Opaka, will be sidelined for the remainder of the Kenya Cup season due to a knee surgery he underwent on Tuesday.
Opaka, who was part of the Kenya U20 team that clinched the Barthes Cup, last appeared for the bankers in their 64-10 victory over Kisumu RFC, where he made a notable contribution by scoring a try after coming off the bench. Unfortunately, he was unavailable for the subsequent match against Kenya Harlequin.
The club has confirmed that Opaka underwent surgery for a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury, which necessitates his absence for the remaining matches of the season.
