Despite initially qualifying as Western Region Champions due to Koyonzo’s disqualification, Butula went on to clinch the 15s title under the guidance of coach Libondo Shimenga.

Their achievement was further highlighted by a silver medal in the East African games held in Rwanda, solidifying their place among the nominees.
