The fourth round of the 2024 HSBC SVNS pools have been released ahead of the tournament which is scheduled to take place in Vancouver 7s, Canada as from 23-25 February,2024.
Argentina who continued their recent formidable form by thrashing Australia 31-5 in a one-sided men’s final to claim consecutive SVNS titles for the first time, following their win in Cape Town last time out head to Canada as the top seeded team.
Argentina are set to face off against rugby powerhouses Fiji, Spain and hosts Canada. Australia are pooled in Pool B alongside France, USA and Samoa while in Pool C Dubai Sevens Champions South Africa are scheduled to battle against Perth bronze finalists Ireland, New Zealand and the Great Britain.
In the tough looking Women’s Pools Ireland who won their first historic SVNS title in Perth, Australia will play against New Zealand, Brazil and South Africa in pool A while in pool B Australia are drawn alongside USA, Fiji and Japan.
A tough contest awaits in Pool C which consists of France, Canada, Spain and Great Britain who are bronze medal finalists in the just concluded Perth 7 s.
The HSBC SVNS continues to be competitive where the four lowest ranked men’s and women’s teams after the seventh round in Singapore will join the top four teams from the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger 2024 in a high stakes promotion and relegation tournament in Madrid.
