.Menengai Oilers secured a hard-fought 23-19 victory over their guests, BlakBlad, at the Nakuru Showground, extending their winning streak to five in the season.
Denis Abukuse initiated the scoring for the Oilers with a successful three-point penalty, bringing the scores to 3-0. The guests responded promptly with an early converted try, taking the lead 7-3.

Samwel Were answered back for the Oilers with the first try for the hosts, narrowing the guests’ lead to 10-7 after Abukuse’s successful conversion.
BlakBlad managed to secure an almost-rescue penalty, levelling the scores at 10-10 before making a giveaway to the hosts. The first half concluded with the Oilers leading 13-10.
In the second half, the hosts took the initiative as Jadah Abdon made the first-line break to cross the try line, increasing the Oilers’ lead to 20-10 after a successful conversion.

BlakBlad, in an attempt to seek redemption, narrowed the gap with a three-point drop goal, changing the scores to 20-13.
Demonstrating determination, BlakBlad utilized another penalty kick against the hosts to further reduce the deficit to 20-16 after a successful penalty kick.
Both teams exchanged penalty kicks, with the Oilers increasing their lead to 23 and the Guests continuing their comeback to 19, bringing the scoreboard to 23-19 before the final whistle.
