Kisumu RFC registered their second win of 2023/2024 season by securing a 13-10 narrow win against Catholic Monks in an early kick-off match played at the CUEA grounds on Saturday 20, January.
Monks became the first team to score a few minutes into the game through Jeremy Odhiambo with Samuel Omolo converting it successfully to give the hosts a 7-0 early lead at the break.
Early on in the second half Kisumu RFC came back stronger and had their first try of the game through Christopher Otieno and it was converted by Washington Ambe to make matters level at 7-7.
Kisumu RFC would add three points to their score through a penalty which was scored by Washington Ochieng for a 7-10 lead.

Ochieng came in with a well-taken penalty for the visiting side as the second half went underway to extend their lead to 7-13.
Omolo earned his name on the scoresheet as he managed a penalty for Monks in the dying minutes of the game shifting the scores to 10-13 signalling the end of the game with a 10-13 win for Kisumu RFC being their second win of the season.
