After a successful quarter finals of the Uganda Cup, Uganda Rugby Union released the semi-final fixtures which are scheduled to take place on 13th January 2024 in different locations.
The fixture features both men’s and women’s teams who emerged victorious in the quarter-finals which took place on 6th January 2024.
At Entebbe, Thunderbirds who played an exciting game over Panthers women and scored 59-00 in the quarters, have booked a date with Avengers who emerged victorious over Nile Rapids after a 38-06 score. The Entebbe match will be played at 2 pm.
The second women’s semis will take place at Kings Park from 3 pm and will see Black Pearls take off Nile Rapids. In the quarters, Black Pearls had a 48-24 victory over Ewes, while Nile Rapids suffered a lose against Avengers and will work to recover in the semis.
The first men’s semi-final will see Plascon Mongers take on Rams at Entebbe from 4 pm. Both teams emerged victorious in the quarter-finals and will ensure they continue with the victory to reach finals.
The last semi-final is scheduled to take place at Kyandodo at 4 pm where Kobs men will lock horns with holders Heathens.
The teams having emerged victorious in the quarter finals, will ensure they maintain victory to qualify for the Uganda Rugby Cup finals.
