Kenya Under 20 and Kabras RFC fullback James Olela Otiko has been selected to join the Rhino’s High-Performance training in South Africa.
The 2023 Enterprise Cup winner with Kabras will join the camp in Gordon Bay in the Western Cape. The Rugby 1Os Championship facility will see the selected players join the camp for 7s training and the camp will also focus on preparing the players for the Tens Series and Rugby 10s Champions
“We hereby declare that James Olela Otiko has been selected to take part in our High-Performance 7s/10s training program in Gordons Bay, Western Cape, South Africa,” reads a letter from Rhinos seen by Scrummage Africa.

“The R10C training facility will have a predominantly 7s focus and take part in numerous events in the coming month as well as prep players for our annual Tens Series, the Rugby Tens Championship,” the letter concluded.
James Olela joins Kenyan duo
Olela will join several international players getting developed and shaped at the facility in the program that will run from 10 January 2024 till 30 April 2024.
Olela will join Collins Shikoli, and Alvin Marube on the list of Kenyan players that have been part of the Rhino’s training program.
Fellow Kenya U20 player Edmond Omondi was also part of the Rhinos’s squad that participated in the Dubai 7s under 19 invitational tournament with the Rhino 10 select team.
