Uganda Lady Cranes announce squad for 7s Challenger Series Opener

The Uganda Rugby Union has revealed their Lady Cranes lineup for the upcoming Sevens Challenger Series that is set to be held in the Sevens Stadium, Dubai, from January 12-14, 2024.

The Lady Cranes will be led by Peace Lekuru, who will be assisted by her vice Agnes Nakuya.

The team also features some other talented players such as Ritta Nadunga, Yvonne Najuma, and Mary Gloria Ayot, who will be joined by Rachel Mufuwa and Maimuna Nassozi.

The squad also includes Sarah Kirabo, Lydia Namabiro, Grace Nabagala, Lona Sandara Amoli, and Emilly Lekuru, thus completing the 12-team squad.

The Lady Cranes have set their sights on making it to the top four teams, which will qualify for the high-staker promotion and relegation competition at the Grand Final in Madrid and  that enable them to have a chance to qualify for the HSBC 7s in 2025.
