Webuye RFC claimed victory in the 13th edition of the Webuye 10s tournament in 2023, securing the title with a 17-10 win over Lugulu in the final at Webuye DEB Grounds on Thursday.
The hosts managed to score three tries, outplaying Lugulu, who scored two tries in the match.
Webuye’s journey to final
Webuye RFC’s journey to the final included a narrow 10-7 victory over St Anthony in the quarters, while Lugulu defeated Kimobo with a convincing 22-0 score.
In the semifinals, Webuye narrowly defeated Bukembe 7-0, while Lugulu secured a place in the final by eliminating Kibabii with a 12-5 win.

The battle for the third place saw Bukembe emerging victorious with a 14-10 win against Kibabii. St Anthony claimed the fifth position after a dominant 28-0 victory over Kimobo.
In the bowl competition, Webuye 2 emerged as the winner, and Matisi secured the Shield with a 15-5 triumph over Kibingei.
