Menengai Oilers, coached by the soft spoken Gibson Weru have named Ibrahim Ayoo, the towering Kenya Simbas international as the club’s captain.
The Elgon Cup winner with Kenya Simbas is tasked to lead the refinery boys in the upcoming Kenya Cup season as revealed by club update.
Menengai Oilers new skipper
Ayoo will now replace Chrispin Shitundo who captained the team during the absence of Harold Anduvate who spent the better part of the last two seasons on the sidelines.
The forward says he is ready for the task ahead of him and he hopes to lift the Kenya Cup title at the end of the Kenya Cup season.

Menengai Oilers have been close to winning the trophy but they came short against Kabras in the finals in the 2021/22 season. In the transfer market, they have acquired some key players whom they’ll be hoping to drive them to victory.
Some of the players include Celestine Mboi, Floyd Wabwire, Jadon Abdon and Elkeans Musonye.
