Menengai Oilers include Wabwire in squad to face Blad in Floodlit bronze

Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru has named his side to have a date with Blak Blad in the Impala Floodlit bronze finals on Saturday 28 October 2023.

Weru has made a few changes on his team bringing in Samson Onsomu to captain the side and former Kenya 7s player Floyd Wabwire will be looking to make his Oilers debut as an impact player after joining from Daystar.

Francis Atiti will start at loosehead prop and will be joined by tighthead prop Vincent Mwikhali together with Celestine Mboi at the hooker in the front row.

Charles Osgood and Argwings Owino make the second-row pairings Oilers.

At the back row, Jadah Abdon starts as the blindside flanker and openside flanker Nixon Ochieng’ as well as Samuel Were at number 8.

The half-back features Onsomu the squad leader and Mark Kwemoi . Johnstone Mung’au at inside centre and Steve Arunga at outside centre form the midfield partnership

Beldad Ogeta occupies the left wing while Alvin Khavoli is the right winger and Tony Oketch completes the back three at fullback.

Oilers’ finishers include Reuben Njoroge, Kevin Mukoyani, Emmanuel Amadi, Eric Miheso, James Asanga, Andrew Odero, Eric Ogutu and Floyd Wabwire.
