Kisumu RFC have been dealt a blow just before the Kenya Cup season after their Head Coach Lawrence Buyachi quit the club for Menengai Oilers.
Scrummage Africa understands that the two-time Kenya Cup winner with Nakuru RFC will join Menengai Oilers as an assistant coach and will work with the forwards department.
Lawrence Buyachi leaves Kisumu
In a letter seen by Scrummage Africa to Kisumu’s EXCO, Buyachi wished the club well and said he had to return to Nakuru for personal reasons besides landing a role with a Nakuru-based club.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I have to step down as the head coach of such a big club having been my home for the last 14 months. Circumstances therein have forced me to go closer to Nakuru and I got an opportunity to continue my coaching career in another club in Nakuru,” part of his letter reads.
