Blak Blad name squad for Strathmore Leos encounter

Blak Blad coach Wakhonye Allan has unveiled his squad to face Strathmore Leos in the first quarter-finals of the 40^th edition of Impala Floodlit at 2:30 pm.

The front-row pack is being led by Kidake Brian at the hooker position. He will be assisted by Wafula Dessaily and Collins Obure to hold the scrum.

Captain Steve Odhiambo will be donning the number 5 jersey and he will be partnering with Dennis Odhiambo who has the vice captain’s role.

In the open side flank, Mwanika Lowell is the one given the mandate he will be operating together with the veteran Blad back row Obat Kuke at the blind side flank. Donning the number 8 jersey is Randy Wamah.

Benjamin Rugar has been tasked with ensuring there is the flow of the ball at the scrum half position. Daniel Oyoo a recent addition to the team from Shama’s rugby is handed the fly-half position.

Even though he made his debut in the Blad jersey during the national 7s circuit, he is looking forward to becoming a mainstay in the 15s team.

Winston Ayieko and Shuaib Wesonga have been tasked with the wings at 11 and 14 respectively. In midfield, Claude Kennedy one of loyal Blad’s servants will be the inside centre while Douglas Sifuna is the outside centre. Completing the team is Gathuu Kevin the full back.

In the substitutes head coach Wakhonye has mainly named debutants to be his replacements. Oduor Givens is the hooker replacement with debutants Dillan Ouma and Olasa Salbatore.
