Makueni Rugby Club have set up a rugby tournament which will commence on 20th October 2023 at Hamza Jogoo road, from 9:00 am till late.
According to Team Manager Emmanuel Kilonzo Mau, the tournament has been put up in honour of physio ,Felix Kioko. The the club will use the tournament to raise cash that will be channelled towards Kiko’s send off.
Clubs in Nairobi can register their teams of 10 players by Wednesday next week. The registration fee is Ksh 2,000 per team with 12 to 16 teams expected for the tournament.
” The tournament is a charity campaign and we will provide water for each team, and referees from the Union. The amount of money will be channelled to the family of Felix Kioko to aid in burial preparation, we welcome you all and we will appreciate when you register to help us raise funds for the burial,” said Makueni RFC’s Kilonzo.
