The first edition of Genowa 10s aside hosted by Homabay RFC at the Raila Odinga Grounds, has attracted the praise of the Western Rugby Referee Society manager Tiberius Maina
Speaking to Scrummage Africa, Maina said the event was a great success and confidently expressed that it has the ability to get better and spur the growth of Rugby in the county.
“The First Edition of the Genowa 10s has been a great success being the first and teams turn up being great we are confident and sure that as time goes and years pass the tournament will get bigger,” expressed Maina.
The tournament which attracted the participation of eight teams in the first edition with Rugby on The Road emerging winners beating the hosts. Main is grateful to the county and hopes for the continued support.

“This is the biggest rugby event that has for once attracted the County government and we are honoured to have the Governor Gladys Wanga being part of those who championed for its success, We pray in the second edition the county will put in the same efforts to ensure success,” he acknowledged.
