Kenya Harlequin Head Coach Paul Murunga has revealed his 23-man squad for the upcoming Kenya Cup semi-final match against Kabras RFC, set to take place at the Kakamega Showground on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

Having led his team to eight consecutive wins this season, Murunga will be determined to guide Quins to their first Kenya Cup final since 2012. The coach suffered back-to-back semi-final losses to Kabras in 2017 and 2018 while with Homeboyz, making him eager to be the first ever coach to eliminate Kabras from the Kenya Cup semis.

Captain Mike Onsando, who missed the Stratmore Leos match last weekend, returns to partner with Hillary Baraza in the second row. The front row remains unchanged, featuring Kenyan Internationals Ian Njenga and Brian Waraba alongside Meshack Tunechi. The loose forwards consist of Sheldon Kahi, former Kabras flanker Charlton Mokua, and Elkeans Musonye.

Lucky Dewald will not be making the trip to Kakamega, with Cornelius Mokoro taking his place in the squad.

Henry Ayah continues as the fly-half, with Paul Mutsami and Richel Wangila set to form the midfield partnership once again.

John Mark Owiti makes way for Brian Oyiengo, who will join Dave Mwaura, with former Kabras fullback Dominic Osino and the club’s vice-captain in the back three.

Quins will be making their way to the semis for the first time since 2019, with Murunga’s squad hoping to end Kabras’ recent dominance in the competition.
