The Western Region Nationwide league is set to enter the semi-final stage this on Saturday, March 4th, with four teams competing for a spot in the finals.
The first semi-final will see defending champions, Sigalagala Polytechnic, host Maseno University. Sigalagala finished at the top of the standings in Western Region Zone A with 27 points, having won all six of their matches. They will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten record in the region for the second year in a row.
Maseno, on the other hand, finished second in Zone B with 26 points, winning five out of their six matches.
The second semi-final will feature Kisii RFC, a former Kenya Cup and KRU Championship side, taking on Kibabii University.
Kisii qualified for the semi-finals by finishing at the top of the standings in Zone B with 28 points, having won all six of their matches.
Kibabii, on the other hand, finished second in Zone A with 24 points after winning five of their six games.
The semi-finals promise to be exciting and closely contested matches as the teams battle it out for a place in the finals.
The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final to determine the champion of the Western Region Nationwide league.
