The Enterprise Cup draw has been released ahead of the competition scheduled to commence on 18 March 2023.
Cup holders, Kabras RFC, will be facing off against Kenya Harlequin while, last year’s finalists, KCB Rugby, are set to play against Western Bulls.
Kenya U 20 set to participate
The Kenya Under 20 rugby team, who are currently warming up for the Barthes Cup and World Junior Trophy, have also been scheduled to play against Strathmore Leos.
Other matchups in the tournament include Homeboyz versus Menengai Oilers, Nondies versus South Coast Pirates, Blak Blad against Catholic Monks, Impala versus Mean Machine, and Mwamba against Kisumu RFC.
As the oldest rugby competition in the country, it will begin with pre-quarterfinal matches on the first day of play. The quarterfinals will be held on 25 March, followed by the semifinals on 1 April. The tournament will culminate with the final, which will take place on 8 April.
In the previous edition of the tournament, Kabras RFC successfully defended their title by defeating KCB Rugby 9-6 in a closely contested final at RFUEA Grounds.
South African flyhalf Ntabeni Dukisa played a crucial role in the match, converting three penalties that ultimately led to Kabras’ slim victory. The win was especially significant for Kabras, as it marked their first-ever final victory against KCB.
