Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a new partnership with Alymali Sports Management for the management and commercialization of the Women’s National Team, also known as the Lionesses.

This 3-year agreement aims to provide the Lionesses with crucial support to help the team run smoothly and participate in tournaments that will elevate their overall ranking and exposure.

At the official signing ceremony held at Alymali’s offices in Westlands, the KRU Chairperson, Oduor Gangla, praised the Lionesses for their impressive performance and ability to produce top-notch professional players despite the limited resources and challenges they face. He also expressed his support for Alymali’s efforts in transforming the sports scene in Africa and improving the women’s division in particular.

The Lionesses 15’s Captain, Peruce Mayuka, was also in attendance at the ceremony and welcomed the partnership, noting that it came at a critical time when the team needed much-needed support to participate in important tournaments and qualify for the Olympics. She emphasized the players’ commitment to representing the country with distinction.

Alymali’s Director of Sports and Entertainment, Silalei Shani, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with the KRU and noted that the company is dedicated to finding the right sponsors and partners to ensure the Lionesses perform at their best. She also underscored the company’s goal of positively transforming the sports sector in Kenya and the rest of Africa to make it as competitive as it is in the West.
