The pools for the upcoming Los Angeles Sevens tournament have been announced, and the competition is shaping up to be an exciting one.
Headlining the tournament is the current World 7s Series league leader, New Zealand, who come into the tournament fresh off their victory at the Sydney Sevens. They will be joined in Pool A by Samoa, the Los Angeles hosts, USA, and Chile.
Pool B will feature South Africa, who are currently in second place in the series standings, along with Ireland, Uruguay, and Canada.
Fiji, who are currently sitting in fifth place in the series standings, will headline Pool C, joined by Australia, Kenya 7s and Japan.
Pool D will see France, Great Britain, Argentina and Spain competing for a spot in the quarterfinals.
The tournament will take place on the 25th and 26th of February. The teams will be looking to earn crucial points in the series standings, with the top four teams at the end of the season earning a direct ticket to the Olympics Sevens in Paris.
