Rugby Africa has released its calendar of events for 2023, kicking off with the Under 20 Barthes Cup Repechage in Senegal from January 28.
Teams will then compete in the final U20 Barthes Cup competition in Nairobi from April 20 to May 1, with the winner qualifying for the Junior World Rugby Trophy.
The Rugby Africa Women’s Cup 15s matches will take place in May, with venues and specific dates to be announced later.
The Women’s 7s Olympics 2024 pre-qualifiers will be held in Zambia on July 1-2, followed by qualifiers in Tunisia on October 14-15.

The Men’s competitions will begin with the 2024 pre-Olympic qualifiers in Mauritius on June 24-25, leading up to the Olympic qualifiers in Zimbabwe on September 16-17.
Dates for the Rugby Africa Cup 15s elimination matches will be announced later.
Uganda 7s are currently the Africa Men’s Champions, having won the competition held at Kyadondo, while Namibia are the Africa Cup Champions after their victory in the competition held in France in 2022.
