Two matches postponed as KRU Championship enters week five

KRU championship campaign will resume this Saturday 7 January 2023 with only three matches set to go on.

Kenya Rugby Union has stated that the varsity matches between Zetech Oaks and USIU Martial, as well as the Nondies’ match against Kabarak University, have been postponed. Scrummage Africa understands that the varsity sides are yet to begin operations, hence the postponement.

The match between South Coast Pirates and Eldoret RFC is not expected to go on as planned with Pirates confirming that it has been cancelled.

“Today’s game against Eldoret RFC has been cancelled due to difficulties they are experiencing. Pirates wish them well and best of luck for the rest of the season,” the Pirates announced 

Matches set to go include the match between Daystar University who are set welcome Kisumu RFC at Madaraka  grounds at 1:oo PM.

Shamas Foundation will welcome  former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls at RFUEA grounds in 2:00 PM kick off clash while former Kenya Cup side Impala Saracens will welcome UoE Trojans Impala club in a 3:00 PM clash which will be the final match of the day.
