Homeboyz RFC registered the second straight win of the season as they defeated Strathmore Leos 25-15 in a Kenya Cup encounter at played at Jamhuri Park.
The wins means Oscar Okaron has perfect win record in Kenya Cup after first two matches in charge. His side HAD to come from behind as Strathmore Leos scored the opener through Brunson Madigu for 5-0.
He later added a penalty for an 8-0 Strathmore lead. Homeboyz then pulled back with two tries from Haroun Lubisia and Roy wesonga. Lubisia converted Wesonga’s try for a 12-8 scoreline.
Homeboyz stretched the lead when Mohammed Omollo charged down a clearance kick and pounced on the ball to score a try for a 17-8 at half time.
In the second half, forward Philibert Mwanzo scored a try to put Homeboyz at 22-8. In the final 10 minutes, Strathmore camped in zone and scored through Madigu who converted his own try for a 22-15.
This marks Strathmore Leos first loss of the season.
