Varsity League standings after week four

TUM Marines moved to 10 points in Pool D of the  Kenya University Sports Federation Varsity League after picking the second win on Saturday.

The coastal-based side defeated Kabarak University 31-11 with Hillary Meshack bagging a hattrick and successfully converting two tries, Brighton Omondi scored two tries in the match. They have opened a five-point gap on top of the log after two bonus points in their opening matches of the campaign.

Meru and UoN

Meru University stay on five points and are second in Pool C. University of Nairobi’s first win of the competition saw them bag five points and are third on the log. They beat Meru-based students 45-22 to bag a bonus point.

Kabarak University stay bottom of the log after two losses which leaves them with no points.

Cooperative University are top of the standings in Pool D after a resounding win against Multimedia University in their first match.  Coop put 46-5 points past their fellow students to pick five points.

Kisii University also have five points and Moi University and Multimedia University are yet to win this season.

There are minimal changes in Pool A with CUEA who had no points rising to four points.  This follows a 30-18 win over Maseno on Saturday. They have closed in on UoE Trojans who are top of the log with five points.

Maseno and TUK have no points in their pool. Pool B remain unchanged after the teams rested this weekend.
