Futures Cup award winners and dream team announced

Sean Odera of the Rift Valley Lakers and Eceru Benjamin of the Kampala Giants claimed the prestigious title of Player of the Tournament in the Futures Cup played from Thursday-Sunday at St Christopher International School.

Odera, was instrumental in the Lakers’ impressive run in the competition while Eceru a fly-half who hails from Kyadondo Age Grade helped his side finish second in the competition.

Roykean Chisutia of the Western Hurricanes emerged as the tournament’s top try scorer with his side finishing third in the competition.

Daniel Wafula, representing the Western Wanderers, claimed the top scorer title in the points-scoring department.

The dream team has also been announced with almost all the teams represented.

The tournament organized by DBA Africa, in partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union and the Uganda Rugby Union, featured under the U15.

This year’s tournament featured eight U15 regional teams, including Central, Coastal, Rift Valley, two Nairobi sides, two Western sides, and a team from Kampala.
