The Kenya Rugby Union has announced that Jerome Paarwater will be returning for a second stint as the Head Coach of the Kenya Men’s Fifteens National Team, The Simbas.
Paarwater, who previously served as the Simbas Head Coach between 2013 and 2017, brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success.
He will be assisted by Kenya Cup winners Carlos Katywa and Curtis Olago, both of whom are well-respected coaches in their own right.
The South African has served as the head coach of the Western Province, a side that participates in the Currie Cup. He was previously forwards coach with both the Western Province and Stormers,
In addition to the coaching staff, the Simbas management team will also include Richard Ochieng as the Strength & Conditioning Coach, Steve Mankone as the Team Physio, James Ondiege as the Team Doctor, and Jimmy Mnene as the Team Manager.
The new technical bench comes in to replace Paul Odera led technical bench which lead Kenya since 2019 but once again missed to qualify for the World Cup.
