The Daystar Falcons secured a 23-17 victory over the USIU Martial, keeping their hopes for a semi-final spot in the KRU Championship alive in their debut season.
Elvis Sande’s converted try and two additional converted penalties helped the team close the gap to four points at halftime, after the Martial had scored 17 points.
In the second half, Sande teamed up with John Oliele for a try that gave them the lead 18-17. Augustine Owino sealed the win with the final try, while the Martial were unable to score any points in the second half. The win is a positive outcome for the Daystar Falcons, but it furthers the struggles for the USIU Martial.
South Coast Pirates secured a decisive 24-8 victory over the UoE Trojans, boosting their chances of reaching the semi-finals.
The Pirates took an early lead with a penalty from Elias Gitonga and a try from Anthony Abonyo, giving them an 8-3 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Charles Tendwa scored another try for the Pirates, followed by a penalty from Ken Omaset to keep them ahead.
Deven Abuga and Ali Rashid added further tries, securing the Pirates a maximum point win.
Meanwhile, Nondies continued their impressive run with a 46-6 win over Kabarak University, and Western Bulls received a walkover against Zetech.
