Kenya 7s side, Shujaa, has named its squad ahead of the 27th edition of the Safari Sevens, set to light up Nyayo National Stadium from October 10–12.
The tournament will feature 20 teams 12 men’s and 8 women’s with Shujaa entering as defending champions after their 12-0 victory over Shogun at last year’s edition in Machakos.
The 13-man Shujaa squad for the 2025 Safari Sevens is heavily dominated by KCB Rugby Club, who contributed five players having clinched the 2025 National 7s Circuit title.
Kabras playmaker Jackson Siketi earns a spot in the senior team after making one outing in last season’s World 7s Series.
He is joined by teenager Gabriel Ayimba, who impressed during the National 7s Series campaign to secure his call-up for the second Safari 7s in a row.

The rest of the squad remains largely unchanged, with experienced players like Vincent Onyala, Dennis Abukuse, and Kevin Wekesa adding depth and leadership.
Speedsters Patrick Odongo, Floyd Wabwire, Festus Shiasi, and playmaker Nygel Amaitsa retain their spots, while Christant Ojwang makes his return to the team.
Samuel Asati and George Ooro continue to serve as co-captains for the side as they aim to defend their title on home soil.
