Buffaloes were crowned the 2025 Kabale 7s champions after edging Series leaders Walukuba Barbarians 14-12 in a thrilling final at Kabale Municipal on Sunday.
Both sides scored two tries each, but Buffaloes converted both while Barbarians managed only one, making the difference in the tightly contested encounter.
Heathens claimed third place after defeating Black Pirates 22-19 in the playoff, while Rhinos finished fifth in the competition. KOBs walked away with the Challenge Trophy.

In the ladies category, Thunderbirds RFC beat Nile Rapids 15-10 in the final of the competition.
Despite their teams losing in the final, Nile Rapids’ Unity Namulala, and Gift Wokorach from Walukuba Barbarians were named the Most Valuable Players of the competition.
