Nondies are the Kabeberi 7s Division 2 winners after defeating Zetech Oaks 24-21 in the final played at RFUEA Grounds.

The victory secured their spot at the upcoming Dala 7s next weekend. Ben Nyambu’s charges were in fine form throughout the Division 2 campaign, bouncing back strongly after being relegated during the Embu 7s. Their determination was evident right from the kickoff in the final.

Nondies tries

A quick tap from a penalty saw Charles Odhiambo break through and score under the posts for a converted try, giving Nondies a 7-0 lead.

They extended their advantage with another converted try from a lineout move before Odhiambo dived over in the corner to make it 17-7.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

In the second half, Johnson Wafula pulled one back for Zetech Oaks, narrowing the gap to 17-14.

However, Nondies regained control, stretching the score to 24-14 with another well-worked try. Though Brian Ondego responded for Zetech with a converted effort to make it 24-21, it proved too late as Nondies held on to secure the Division 2 crown.
