The Embu 7s tournament came to a close on Sunday evening with several standout players walking away with individual accolades for their brilliance throughout the competition.
Strathmore Leos forward Barnabas Owuor was named Player of the Final after powering the students to a 31-21 victory over KCB, securing their dominance at the Embu 7s.

Owuor, who was also on the scoresheet in the final, pocketed KSh 10,000 for his efforts.
The Top Try Scorer award was shared between Victor Mola of Strathmore Leos and David Nyangige of Impala RFC, who both crossed the whitewash eight times.
Mola continues his fine run this season, adding this accolade to his Prinsloo 7s award and the shared crown with Floydd Wabwire at Kabeberi 7s.

In the women’s category, Lucy Kemuma of Ruck It was the star performer, bagging two awards. She was named Player of the Final and also finished as the Top Try Scorer with six tries, earning KSh 10,000.
Division Two honours went to Obed Aberi, who was crowned Player of the Final and awarded KSh 10,000, while David Kimani of Jackals finished as the Top Try Scorer with eight tries.
The Spirit of Rugby Award went to Ian Damasi of Embu RFC for his exemplary display of sportsmanship.
