KCB Rugby in Christie 7s final
Quins, chasing a maiden final appearance this season after missing out in the opening two legs, came up short against a well-drilled KCB side.
The Bankers struck first with an early converted try for a 7-0 lead. Quins replied through Leon Nyang, who touched down at the corner to close the gap to 7-5.
Just before halftime, Floyd Wabwire showcased his pace to round his markers and score a converted try, giving KCB a 14-5 advantage at the break.
In the second half, George Ooro powered through the middle to score under the posts, stretching KCB’s lead to 21-5.

Oilers Outlast Strathmore Leos
Menengai Oilers ended Strathmore Leos’ back-to-back final run with a dramatic 24-19 win in the second semi-final.
Beldad Ogeta opened the scoring for the Oilers, beating Victor Mola on the right to score a converted try for a 7-0 lead.
Strathmore responded as Barnabas Owuor and Victor Mola both scored in the corner, with a successful conversion giving them a 12-7 advantage.
The Oilers fought back to level at 12-12, but Gabriel Ayimba restored Leos’ lead soon after. With the game on the line, the Oilers showed resilience, closing the gap before Calvin Malewa dived over the whitewash to score the decisive try, sealing a 24-19 victory.
The Bankers will now be chasing a second title of the season, while Oilers will be eyeing a historic first Christie 7s crown.
