Defending champions Kabras RFC suffered a shock defeat, while Catholic Monks, Menengai Oilers, and KCB Rugby maintained perfect records to stay unbeaten at the RFUEA Grounds in the Christie 7s.
Kenya Harlequin cruised past Zetech Oaks with a dominant 41-0 victory, putting one foot in the quarterfinals.
Ramadhan Masete was the star of the show with four tries, while Michael Ochieng, Charles Kinyanjui, and Patrick Wainaina also crossed the whitewash. The win left Quins top of Pool A with six points after two rounds.
Strathmore Leos bounced back strongly, defeating Mombasa RFC 26-5 to revive their quarterfinal hopes.
Gabriel Ayimba opened the scoring before Samuel Wafula, Victor Odhiambo and Nygel Amaista added tries, with Brian Mwenda converting three.
Strathmore now move to four points, tied with Zetech Oaks, who also sit on four points.
Christie 7s Pool B
Catholic Monks continued their impressive run with a 24-5 win over MMUST, moving to six points and firmly in contention for the quarterfinals.
Brian Nyamboki and Dennis Mulinge each bagged a brace to secure the victory.
Impala RFC also bounced back in style, defeating Nakuru RFC 19-5 in one of the day’s upsets. David Nyangige scored twice, while Matoka Matoka added the third.
Both Impala and Nakuru are now level on four points, keeping their last-eight hopes alive.

Pool C
Menengai Oilers moved top of their pool with a convincing 26-7 win over Uganda’s Ruga Ruga Select.
Samuel Mwaura opened the scoring before Denis Abukuse, Daniel Kipchirchir, and Eric Ogutu sealed the win with additional tries.
Defending champions Kabras RFC were stunned 17-12 by Daystar Falcons, leaving both sides on four points.
Clinton Amukwachi’s brace and Chris Obuya’s try proved decisive, cancelling out efforts from Roy Maruti and Mathias Osimbo for Kabras.
Pool D
KCB Rugby continued their flying start with a 36-0 demolition of Blak Blad. Floyd Wabwire grabbed a brace, while George Ooro, Brian Wahinya, Samuel Asati and Bramwel Kilwake all added tries in the rout.
Nondies revived their quarterfinal hopes after edging Mwamba RFC 17-12 to move to four points, setting up a tense final round in the group.
