Kenya Simbas unveil squad to face South Africa U20 in training match

Kenya Simbas head coach Jerome Paarwater has named his squad for the training match against South Africa U20, scheduled to take place in Stellenbosch on Monday afternoon.

The side that featured in the second half of their 17-all draw against SWD Eagles has been selected to start this match, with the tight five retained from the previous outing.

Ephraim Oduor, Eugene Sifuna, and Wilhite Mususi will anchor the front row, while Hibrahim Ayoo and Andycole Omolo pair up in the second row. The back row comprises George Nyambua and Patrick Sabatia, with Obat Kuke returning to the squad in place of Elkeans Musonye.

Samuel Asati maintains his place at scrum-half, linking up with Barry Robinson at fly-half. The midfield combination of Walter Okoth and Bryceson Adaka continues at inside and outside centre, respectively.

In the back three, Griffin Chao takes the left wing, Derrick Ashihundu starts on the right, and Timothy Omela slots in at fullback.

The second group features Edward Mwaura, Griffin Musila, and Melvin Thairu in the front row, with Brian Juma and Emanuel Silungi locking the scrum.

Teddy Akala, who previously featured as a hooker, returns to the back row alongside Elvis Olukusi and Collins Indeche at number eight. Sam Onsomu starts at scrum-half with Brian Wahinya at fly-half. The midfield duo includes Samuel Ovwamu and Tyson Maina.

The back three is made up of Beldad Ogeta, John Okoth, and Brian Tanga.

Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM East African Time.
