The inaugural Kampala 7s entered the knockout phase with Strathmore Leos, Shogun, SA All Stars, and Emerging Cranes securing their spots in the semifinals with dominant quarterfinal victories on 1st June 2025 at Kings Park Arena.
Kenya’s Strathmore Leos maintained their unbeaten streak with a clinical 29–5 demolition of Rams. The Leos, who topped Pool C with three wins from three matches, showed their class and cohesion early on, dismantling a Rams side that had edged out hosts Black Pirates on Day 1.
South Africa’s All Stars blanked Buffaloes 17–0 to book their place in the last four. The All Stars, now with four straight wins, have yet to concede a loss in the tournament.

Uganda’s Emerging Cranes bounced back in style after a narrow loss to SA All Stars in Round 3, shutting out Nondescripts 24–0. It was a statement performance from the Cranes, who had already handed KOBs a 40–0 beating in the group stage.
Invitational side Shogun continued to impress, stretching their unbeaten run to four matches with a commanding 29–7 win over KOBs. The physically dominant side topped Pool A with ease and is proving difficult to contain as they storm into the semifinals.
The Semis are now set where the first one will have kenyan side Strathmore Leos will take on SA All Stars at 13:50 before Shogun locking horns with Emerging Cranes as from 14:12.
