This tournament, which marks the fourth leg of the 2025 season, has previously been hosted by various clubs, including Homeboyz with the Sepetuka 7s, Western Bulls with the Kakamega 7s, Eldoret RFC and Moi University with the Tisap 7s, and Kabras RFC with the Kakamega Ingo 7s.
KRU 7s leg
A statement from the KRU revealed that the union’s board has approved the full return to normalcy, which includes opening up the bidding process for this highly anticipated event.
“The National Sevens Circuit will return to full normalcy in 2025 with the KRU 7s leg now open for bidding,” the statement said. “KRU is seeking to appoint a host team for the fourth leg of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit.”
Hosting this tournament offers significant benefits, according to the Union, with the potential to leave a lasting legacy for the host team and county, while also contributing to the growth of rugby both locally and nationally.
