MMUST Rugby have extended their lead at the top of the KRU Championship table, now holding a five-point advantage ahead of the final two matches of the league phase.
The Makakas are undefeated with nine straight wins, amassing 43 points, though they have missed out on winning bonus points this season. Their impressive performances in both attack and defense have been a key factor, with 278 points scored and only 88 points conceded.

Daystar Falcons have surged to second place, boosting their chances of securing a direct semi-final berth and avoiding the playoffs. With 38 points, the Athi-River-based side’s recent win over Catholic Monks helped them leapfrog their opponents, who were previously in second place.
Catholic Monks have dropped to third, sitting just one point behind Daystar Falcons with 37 points.
Zetech Oaks climbed to fourth place after receiving a walkover against Western Bulls, and now have a chance to host a playoff match.
Homeboyz, who have been struggling, dropped to fifth on the table with 28 points from five wins. Meanwhile, JKUAT are edging closer to securing another playoff spot.

Mean Machine hold 15 points, while Mombasa RFC are just behind with 13 points. Western Bulls are in eighth with 11 points, and USIU Martial, chasing survival, are in ninth with 7 points.
In the relegation zone, TUM Marines sit with 6 points, and UoE Trojans are at the bottom of the table with only 2 points.
