Kubu has been a vital part of the Kabras squad since 2015, playing key roles in their Kenya Cup triumphs in 2016, 2021, and 2022. Despite missing the 2023/24 Kenya Cup season due to injury, where he only featured in one match, Kubu has made a return this season, first appearing against Impala RFC.
Although yet to regain his top form, the playmaker remains the club’s leading points scorer and second on the try-scorers list. So far this season, he has scored five tries and successfully converted 19 kicks.
