The World SVNs Series kicked off in style, with Fiji claiming victory in the opening leg at Dubai’s Sevens Stadium.
Fiji secured a commanding 19-5 win over Spain in the final to bag 20 points and take an early lead on the leaderboard. Spain, who impressed throughout the tournament, earned 18 points after finishing as runners-up.

Argentina clinched third place and 16 points, while New Zealand sit fourth with 14 points.
France round off the top five with 12 points. Defending Dubai 7s champions South Africa failed to reach the cup semis and ended with 10 points.
Australia and Great Britain occupy seventh and eighth positions with eight and six points, respectively.
Uruguay claimed ninth place with four points, edging out Kenya 7s (Shujaa) 15-7 in the ninth-place playoff.

Shujaa, marking their return to the World Sevens Series under the revamped format, managed two wins and three losses over the weekend. They earned three points and are ranked 10th.
Ireland picked up two points, while the USA sit at the bottom of the standings with a single point.
The teams head to South Africa next weekend for the Cape Town 7s.
