The much-anticipated 2024/25 Kenya Cup season kicked off on Saturday, November 23, with all teams back in action after a long off-season.
KCB Rugby lead the standings after a dominant performance in their opening match, defeating newcomers South Coast Pirates with an emphatic scoreline at the KCB Sports Club. The victory gave KCB a points differential of +83, securing the top spot.

Menengai Oilers occupy second place following an impressive 76-13 triumph over Kisumu RFC in a match played at the ASK Showground in Nakuru. Kenya Harlequin sits third after a commanding 55-22 win over Mwamba RFC, putting them among the early pace-setters.
Defending champions Kabras RFC, who have topped the league standings in the last two seasons, are in fourth place. They registered a 33-6 victory over Impala RFC in a match that ended prematurely due to unforeseen circumstances.
Blak Blad take the fifth position after extending their unbeaten streak against Nakuru RFC to four games. The university side claimed a 27-7 win at the Kenyatta University Grounds, earning a bonus point in the process.

Nondies, who edged Strathmore Leos 22-13, are sixth but missed out on a bonus point. Strathmore, on the other hand, earned the only losing bonus point on the opening weekend of the season.
The bottom five consist of Nakuru RFC, Impala Saracens, Mwamba RFC, Kisumu RFC, and South Coast Pirates. These teams will be eager to bounce back as the season progresses.
