Mean Machine Coach Elly Mukaisi says he’s not disappointed by his team despite losing to MMUST in their opener match played on Saturday at MMUST Grounds.
Mukaisi stated that the team tried their best having just escaped relegation due to a better head-to-head record against Kabarak.
According to Mukaisi, the Machine did not match up to MMUST’s physicality.
“First things first, I’m not disappointed. From where the boys were last season when they finished in the relegation zone compared to what they are doing now, they are really trying. As much as I’m giving them pressure, they also have their own targets. We have learned something; MMUST challenged us physically. We didn’t match up to their physicality,” Mukaisi told Scrummage.

The coach feels that Machine had their chances at some points of the game but they didn’t use them. Their coach added that they need to go back to the drawing board and see how they can use the chances they had in the upcoming games
“Most of us had that individual brilliance that wasn’t clicking well. Then we had our chances, but we didn’t use them. So maybe now we should go back to the drawing board and see how to use the chances we had,” Mukaisi explained.
Mean Machine played against MMUST on Saturday at MMUST Grounds but ended up being defeated as MMUST took the victory of 32-6.
