Makueni RFC and Machakos University Eagles have announced their matchday squads to kickstart their 2024/2025 Nationwide season campaign.
The two matches are set to be played on Saturday 16th November 2024 at the ASK Showgrounds, Machakos with the first match kicking off at 1:00pm while at 3:00 pm Makueni will face off with Masaku Rfc.
The Machakos university Eagles squad will see Kennedy Wanyama start at number 8 and will be joined by blindside flanker Simo Kioko and openside Mark Wekesa.
The second row will feature Bavon Olambo and Abudi cliff as locks.
The front row will be made up of looseheadprop Mwangi Nathaniel, hooker Andrew Mugera and tighthead Antony Musembi.
Lionel Fadhili will start as scrum half while Alvin Ingosi the fly half will link the half backs to the centers Emmanuel Kariuki( inside center) and captain Isaac Onyango ( outside center).
Left wing will be occupied by Tom Joshua while the right winger will be Emmanuel Kyalo and finally Abel Magwamu at fullback.
Makueni RFC technical bench led by headcoach, Kennedy Munyao, has also named a 24-man squad for their match against Masaku RFC in the Ukambani Derby in the second match of the day.
The squad will see Brian Kavita starting as the fullback and he will link the wingers Eddie Masinde ( right winger) and James Wekesa( left winger).
Centers Emmanuel Mwau and Dennis Odhiambo will work alongside the halfbacks Felix Kioko who will start at scrum-half and David Nganga at fly-half.

The front row will be made up of Titus Kasili who will be the loosehead prop, Dennis Ochieng who will get the node at hooker and the tighthead prop Abel Yatoli.
Clyde Ochieng will be the number 4 lock while William Omondi will be the number 5 lock. They will link the front row to the back row which will feature Killian Anyangu (openside flanker), Stanslous Kasese (blindside flanker), and finally Dominic Sande who will start at number 8.
The bench has Alvin Mugutu,
Bill Bunyasi, Wanjala Wafula, Elvis Onchiri, Caleb Manthi, Dedan Wachiuri, Timothy Kasili, Kelvin Agwambo and Calvince Kabagah.
The 2024/2025 Nationwide league matches will kick off this Saturday with matches lined up across all the leagues in the country.
