Uganda Lady Cranes have announced their squad that will be on duty in the Rugby Africa Women’s 7s set for Ghana on Saturday and Sunday.
The coach has largely retained the squad that was on duty during the Safari 7s where they finished third in the tournament.
Peace Lekuru will captain the side joined by Tina Akello, Grace Auma and Lona Sandra Amoli. The squad has also picked Grace Nabaggala, Unity Namulala, Nasozi Maimuna, Janat Nandudu and Yvonne Najjuma.
Uganda are in Pool C alongside Zambia, Senegal and Ivory Coast. Zambia have also named their squad for the tournament.
The Africa Women’s 7s Tournament is set to kick off on Saturday, November 9-10 2024 with 18 matches lined up at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium in Accra, Ghana.

The tournament kicks off at 6 a.m East African Time , with Zambia playing against Senegal, followed by Uganda who will play against Cote d’Ivoire at 6:22 am.
At 6:44 am, Ghana will clash with Madagascar and Kenya Lionesses will go head-to-head with Mauritius at 7:06 am.
Tunisia take on Zimbabwe at 7:28 am while defending Champions South Africa will face Burkina Faso at 7:50 am in the final match of the opening round.
At 8:44 am, Zambia will be up against Cote d’Ivoire, with Uganda playing against Senegal at 9:06 am.
Madagascar and Mauritius will be up at 9:28 am, followed by Kenya Lionesses who will play against hosts Ghana at 9:50 am.
Tunisia face Burkina Faso at 10:12 am, while South Africa play against Zimbabwe at 10:34 am. Senegal will tackle Cote d’Ivoire at 11:50 am.
At 12:12 pm Uganda will battle Zambia, followed by Kenya competing against Madagascar at 12:34 pm.
Zimbabwe face Burkina Faso at 12:56 pm. The final games see South Africa taking Tunisia at 13:18 EAT and the hosts Ghana tackling Mauritius.
